Born from decades of partnership between Eduardo Tavarez and William Rosa — Worcon Mining transforms Brazil's rarest gemstones from Bahia and Minas Gerais into institutional-grade financial instruments for the global capital markets.
In 2008, Eduardo Tavarez and William Rosa forged a partnership with a singular purpose: to design investment strategies that create lasting, compounding value. Over the following years, they developed an innovative methodology for identifying high-potential ventures — channeling capital into startups and expanding operating businesses across industries. It was their deep, historical connection and shared expertise in gemstones that ultimately gave rise to Worcon Mining: a company built at the precise intersection of hard assets and institutional finance.
Today, under the leadership of Eduardo Tavarez and William Rosa — the family's gemstone assets have been consolidated, professionally appraised, and structured for international capital markets. Mining concessions span over 2,100 acres across Brazil's historic gemstone heartland.
Building on that momentum, Worcon Mining pioneered the use of gemstones as collateral for mergers and acquisitions — unlocking entirely new financing pathways. In 2020, operations were formally reorganized under World Connection Group Co. LLC — a U.S.-based holding company — with partnerships spanning the USP Mining Laboratory, independent gemologists, and high-yield international trading platforms.
From a 2008 partnership focused on investment strategy to a tenfold asset expansion during the global pandemic — Worcon Mining has consistently transformed adversity into advantage. Today, our GIA-certified, SKR-documented portfolio of Emeralds, Alexandrites, Rubies and Paraíba Tourmalines stands as Brazil's most structured and internationally recognized hard-asset gemstone inventory.
We transform GIA-certified Brazilian gemstones into structured financial opportunities across three distinct and complementary service areas — from trading platforms to project guarantees to direct gemstone sales.
Since 2021, Worcon Mining has operated formal agreements with high-yield trading platforms and specialist officers worldwide. Our SKR-backed gemstone portfolio — GIA-certified and custody-held — is structured for Private Placement Programs, converting Brazil's rarest hard assets into institutional working capital and yield-generating financial instruments.
Worcon Mining pioneered the use of gemstones as collateral for mergers and acquisitions — an innovative model developed from direct M&A experience. With over US$1.9 billion in GIA-appraised hard assets, we serve as collateral or guarantee partner for project financing, bridge funding, and credit facilities, enabling transactions that require solid, verifiable, internationally-documented backing.
Direct sales of GIA-appraised, custody-held gemstones to institutional buyers, collectors, and jewellers. Every stone carries full provenance documentation. Available in bulk lots or as individual high-value specimens.
All items are GIA-appraised, legally exported from Brazil, and held in licensed custody with Safe Keeping Receipts. Complete documentation available to qualified counterparties under executed NDA.

Worcon Mining's delivery model is built around long-term institutional alliances that give our clients and counterparties unusual leverage — from U.S. foreign-trade policy access through our partnership with USFTI, to logistics and precious-metals execution out of the Dubai hub through Jonro Global Trading. Each alliance is deliberately chosen to close a specific capability gap across the Americas, the Gulf, and beyond.
USFTI is a U.S. institute dedicated to advancing foreign trade, international policy, and cross-border business development between the United States and its partner markets. Worcon Group has held a formal partnership with USFTI since 2021, combining Worcon's operational footprint across the Americas with USFTI's policy reach in Washington.
Eduardo Tavarez serves as Senior Latin America Policy Advisor to USFTI since 2021, channeling regional regulatory intelligence, trade-policy insight, and commercial access across Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and the broader LATAM corridor directly into the Institute's advisory work — and, in turn, bringing U.S. policy and trade-facilitation capabilities to Worcon's clients and portfolio companies.
Jonro Global Trading is a Dubai-based international trading house specialized in precious metals operations — import, export, refining, smelting, testing, and buy/sell — leveraging the UAE's free-zone infrastructure and its strategic position between the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Jonro is Worcon Group's strategic partner for logistics, custody, and cross-border flows through the Dubai hub. The alliance gives Worcon and its portfolio companies on-the-ground execution capability in the Gulf — a critical corridor for precious metals, gemstone movements, and Worcon Mining's trading activities — complementing the Group's Americas-centered network with Middle East reach.
